- Continuing Education ## Continuing Education Requirements - Each active licensee is required to complete 16 hours of continuing education each renewal period.
- - A minimum of 8 of the required 16 hours must cover NEC updates.
- - Newly licensed graduates of approved apprenticeship programs are exempt from CE requirements for their first renewal.
- - Licensees changing from journeyman or residential to a higher level of licensure are not exempt from CE requirements.
