Cycle
- Missouri sets the renewal period (annual, biennial, or longer) for general contractor credentials
- Deadlines are usually tied to an individual expiration date, birth month, or a fixed calendar date
- Confirm your exact date on the board portal or public roster
CE hours
- Most renewals require board-approved continuing education or refresher training
- Hour totals and topic mix (code, law, safety, business) are class-specific
- Use only approved providers — unapproved hours often do not count
Late and lapse
- Late fees escalate quickly; some boards force retest or reinstatement after a hard cutoff
- Firm / contractor renewals may also need insurance or bond evidence
